halongtrip.com has covered cruising on this bay, in one form or another, since the early 2010s. The site was rebuilt in 2026 around a single idea: publish what can be verified, label what cannot, and never pretend to knowledge we do not have.

We list boats on Ha Long, Lan Ha and Bai Tu Long. We do not own any of them, we do not charge you a booking fee, and the price you see is the operator’s own advertised rate. Our income is a commission paid by the operator after you sail.

That arrangement has one honest consequence worth stating: we are paid when you book, so treat any recommendation with the scepticism you would apply to anyone in that position. What we can offer in return is that our reasoning is on the page, our sources are labelled, and we say plainly when a boat is not worth what it charges.
