How booking works

Send an enquiry from any boat’s page with your dates and cabin preference. We check live availability with the operator, which usually takes a few hours during Vietnamese business hours and longer over Tết.

If the dates are open, the operator confirms directly with you and takes payment. We are not a payment intermediary, and you should never be asked to send money to us.

What you pay

The operator’s own advertised rate, with no booking fee added by us. Watch for three things that are commonly extra: drinks, the single-occupancy supplement, and a private transfer if you would rather not share the van.

If the weather closes the port

Between roughly July and September the provincial authority suspends sailings whenever a storm warning is issued, and when it does, every boat stays in. No operator is exempt. You will be offered a date change or a refund according to that operator’s policy, which we list on each boat’s page where it is published.

This is the reason we suggest booking the bay for the first half of a Vietnam itinerary rather than the last night.
