The operator’s own booking page prices a double cabin from $335 for two people for one night, read on 8 October 2026. That is from $168 per person, two sharing.

We have not found one review of this ship. Not in English, not in any language, and unlike most boats in that position there is no average score sitting above the silence either.

What the booking page charges

Read from the operator’s booking page on 8 October 2026 for the one-night trip, priced per cabin for two guests: the Ambassador Deluxe from $335, the Ambassador Premium from $353 and the Ambassador Captain Suite from $426. The Presidential Suite is from $1,389.

Two things about that. The first is the basis, which is better than most of what we handle. This is the company’s own booking page rather than the highest rate a listing happened to be showing, so the numbers are a price rather than a ceiling to negotiate down from. It does price by travel date, though, and publishes no season table. The $335 is the lowest Deluxe figure we saw on any October to December date we sampled; 15 October showed $360, and the flexible version of the same cabin is $386. The second is the gap near the top. $1,389 is more than four times the deluxe and about $695 a head, and nothing is sold between $426 and it.

Forty-six cabins, five of them described

The cabin data holds six grades and they only partly join up. Three carry specifications: an Ambassador Suite at 35 m², two of them, on the upper deck; an Ambassador Captain Suite at 38 m², also two, also upper deck; and a Presidential Suite at 90 m², one room. The operator’s booking page prices four: the Deluxe, the Premium, the Captain Suite and the Presidential. The Captain Suite and the Presidential are the two grades with both a size and a price; the Ambassador Suite has a size and no price at all.

So the two cheapest grades, the ones most guests would buy, have no published floor area, no bed layout and no deck. Five rooms are described in total, out of forty-six.

The forty-six is the operator’s figure and nobody else’s. Their capacity number, 100 guests, is also theirs alone, but the two are at least consistent with each other: forty-six doubles come to ninety-two, and a handful of triples closes the gap. Five decks, again their word. The 2018 launch is verified against more than the operator, and it is the only specification on this page that is. Hull length is unpublished.

Cabin floor area is a three-way tie. Two sources say 30 m², two say 90 and two say 60, with a single source on 42. The 90 is the Presidential Suite to the metre, so that field has swallowed the top room. Neither 35 nor 38 appears anywhere in the spread, which means the two figures the operator does publish for named suites are missing from the numbers the listings repeat.

A jacuzzi is verified, as are the spa, the kayaking and balconies on the cabins. The gym is the operator’s word. No source we checked mentions a pool, on a forty-six-cabin ship we file under luxury, so do not book expecting one.

The route is the reason to consider it

This is a full main-channel programme. Over two days it takes in the cave at Sung Sot, the tighter passage at Luon, and Ho Dong Tien and Trong as well: four cave entries in one itinerary, which is more than most boats attempt. There is the climb on Ti Top island, the floating village at Cua Van, and a pearl farm. Against most two-day trips on Ha Long that is a fuller second day, and it is the argument for choosing this boat over a cheaper one. If the bay itself is undecided, the three are not interchangeable.

The pier, and the name

Nobody publishes where it boards. Ask, get it in writing, then say the answer to your driver yourself: Tuan Chau Marina and the Ha Long International Cruise Port are twenty minutes apart and get reversed, and Hon Gai Pier is over the Bai Chay bridge.

Be as careful with the ship’s name. The same company runs Ambassador Signature over on Lan Ha, and one of the databases we read files this vessel under a day-cruise title even though its only two products are one and two nights aboard. Put the full ship name and the itinerary length in the confirmation.

What no reviews means here

An eight-season boat with no public review in any language is a harder blank than a new hull. We cannot explain it. The likeliest reading is that it sells through agents and domestic channels that generate nothing public, which is common and says nothing about the boat, but it does leave you buying the itinerary on paper. Nobody has told you how forty-six cabins’ worth of guests get moved through four caves in a day, or how much English the crew speaks.

Who it suits

Travellers who want the classic Ha Long run with the caves and the village included, who are paying from $335 for the room on the operator’s booking page, and who will judge the ship on that rather than on other people’s accounts.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone buying reassurance along with the cabin. The best-value list has main-bay boats with hundreds of English reviews open to read, and the caves on this itinerary are not exclusive to it.

Our view is that this is the strongest itinerary of any boat we hold with no guest record at all, and that its price comes from the operator's own booking page, which is firmer ground than a rate copied off a listing. What you cannot check is the ship, since the cabin data describes five rooms out of a claimed forty-six and none of them are the two you would buy.
