Boats launched in the last two seasons. Newer usually means a larger cabin for the money, and an operation that has not yet worked out its own routine.

New boats on this bay tend to offer more cabin for the money than boats five years older at the same price. Standards have risen quickly, and a 2025 hull will usually give you a larger room, a working balcony and better soundproofing than a 2019 vessel charging the same.

The risk is the operation rather than the ship. A crew in its first season has not yet worked out how to turn around forty cabins between check-out and the next embarkation, and it shows in small ways: a slow brunch, a tender that leaves late, a booking system that loses your dietary note.

We publish the launch year on every boat because it is one of the few specifications every operator states and it is straightforward to verify. Where an operator has refitted rather than rebuilt we say so if we can confirm it, and say nothing if we cannot.
