We hold no reviews of this boat. None, in any language, which is a different situation from the score sitting beside the word Orchid when you search it.

That score belongs to a fleet. The operator runs the Classic as hulls numbered 1, 2 and 3, plus a Trendy, a Premium and a boat called Nostalgia, and guests writing about one of them routinely appear in the review pool of another. On the sister pages of this site we found reviewers naming Orchid Classic 1 and the Trendy inside pools attached to entirely different vessels. So if you have read something reassuring about “Orchid”, check which boat it was about before you let it decide anything. Get the hull name printed on the confirmation. A confirmation saying only Orchid does not tell you what you have bought.

Fourteen cabins, verified. The Classic reports fourteen as well, which is part of why listings for the two collapse into each other. The hull is steel on the operator’s word alone. A jacuzzi, a spa, included kayaking and a balcony in every cabin are all verified across sources. The gym rests on the operator alone. No source we checked mentions a pool, which is not proof there is none, but it does mean you should not turn up expecting to swim.

Cabin size is unusable as published. Two sources say 36 m² and two say 45; one says 72 and one says 68. The leading two are tied at two sources each, and a tie decides nothing, so we are not going to nominate a winner between them. What the figures honestly support is a spread: somewhere from 36 up to 72 m², depending which listing you happen to open.

Nobody publishes the launch year. Nobody publishes the capacity, the deck count or the length, and we checked each. There is no itinerary either. Our route data for this hull is empty, with no cave, village or beach traceable to a published schedule, which is the same gap the Classic has.

What the suites cost

Three grades on the sheet we read on 6 August 2026, and every one of them is called a suite. Suite balcony, $480 for the cabin. Premium suite balcony, $570. Exclusive suite, $810. Each is priced for two people, so per head that is $240, $285 and $405. The word suite is doing no work on this boat. The cheapest room has it too.

We would plan on $240 a head, two sharing the suite balcony, and make an agent confirm in writing any lower quote, because a cheaper figure for this name may belong to one of the sister hulls.

The listing also labels its rates as the highest it found published. That is one number from one page on one day, not a maximum, and it is the reason the date above is printed next to every figure on this page.

What the empty review file means for you

For the Premium we collected 277 reviews and had to throw most of them out because they described other boats. For the Luxury we collected nothing to throw out. Zero.

The practical effect is that the crew, the food, the transfer and the state of the cabins on this specific hull are untested by anyone you can read. You are buying the operator’s description of a boat at $480 a night, and the usual correction to that, a stranger’s account, does not exist. If the boat is new enough to explain the silence, nobody publishes the year, so we cannot even offer you that.

Nobody publishes the pier for this hull. Ask which berth in writing, get the answer before the day, and be aware that the crossing to the Lan Ha side of the archipelago is not the same journey from every departure point in Ha Long. If you have not decided between the bays yet, they differ more than the brochures suggest.

Who it suits

Two people who want fourteen cabins rather than forty, who will pay $480 for the room with their eyes open, and who will not be rattled by discovering that the company’s online reputation is shared four ways.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who needs to know what they are buying. The itinerary is unpublished, the pier is unpublished, the cabin area is disputed by four sources, and the review file for this hull is empty. Among the small boats and on the best-value list there are operators who publish a stop list you can hold them to, and at this price that is worth more than a larger bathroom.
